Dr. J
Dr. Elizabeth Jacobs has been an adjunct and full-time professor of Psychology at Glendale Community College since 1982. She recently retired after 24 years of full-time teaching and was awarded the status of Faculty Emeritus by the Maricopa College District upon her retirement. She continues to teach Human Development and Introductory Psychology classes at local community colleges. Elizabeth has served on the Arizona Foster Care Review Board since 1999, was a foster child for five years, and is an adoptive parent. She is a national presenter on the topic of attachment for a variety of foster care groups including CASAs, judges, attorneys, and multi-disciplinary groups. Her presentations, as well as her book, Will I Ever See You Again?, combine her many years of experience on Arizona’s Foster Care Review Board, her own experiences as a foster child and adoptive parent, as well as the results of her research into the challenges faced by foster children as they try to form relationships with adults and children in the Foster Care System.
